So, I stumbled across this article that frames the race in an interesting light. You can read it by clicking here. The election results after canvassing are available through the Hutch News here.
However, this is not about that article so much as it is my personal observations: None of these candidates I feel is right for the job. And, although I feel like I could do a better job myself, my family and I have mutually agreed that I would not run. However, that still leads me to cry out for a candidate that is a representative of their district, and not a representative of their own convictions. This is a tall order for anyone running this year. I just feel like this year, especially, has yielded politics over people once again.
Also, a random thought: When did compromise become such a bad word in politics?
Just speaking my mind.
